NOVEMBER 12, 2009 – The Better Business Bureau of Central N.C. has earned recognition from its national organization for meeting all standards of performance.
Every three years, the Council of Better Business Bureaus in Arlington, Va., audits each local BBB against 23 operating standards and policies. The evaluation includes examination of consumer complaint handling, finances, training, business reporting and standards of business membership.
Local BBB President and CEO Kevin Hinterberger said, “Our first goal is to maintain the trust of the consumer when it comes to promoting business ethics and monitoring business practices. Recognition from our parent organization is reassurance to these consumers that we are doing just that.”
The BBB is a non-profit organization that rates and monitors the reliability of companies doing business with the public.This effort is funded by the local business community.
